A set of three fantastic French 18th Century oval paintings, likely depicting fables. Housed in period appropriate gilded frames.

Medium: Oil paint on linen

Size of two larger pieces: Support is 10 1/4” x 12 5/8” Outside frame is 17” x 21 1/2”

Size of smaller piece: Support is 8 1/4” x 11 1/2” Outside frame is 12” x 15 1/4”

Period of creation: C. 1790

Condition notes: Paintings have been previously adhered to foamcore for support. Painting surface is freshly cleaned, a new varnish applied, small losses throughout have been filled and appropriately inpainted. Period appropriate frames have losses throughout but are overall stable.
