This impressive c. 1850s winter landscape is titled in pencil on its original stretcher “Sunset in Holland.” Signed H. A. Isaacs in the lower right corner, and last came from an estate in Oregon.

Condition:  The condition is stable, there are areas of inpainting throughout. Surface has been cleaned, fresh varnish applied, linen is taut and lined. It is housed in the original frame that has age consistent losses and repairs.
