This twentieth-century oil painting depicts a couple reclining by a sun dappled path. The age of the artist’s panel and the artist’s use of interesting paint textures and layers, including a fair amount of grit, suggests it was likely painted before the early 1960s.The painting was acquired from the estate of a collector in Paris, who later lived in New York City.
The painting is unsigned and has no identifying markings.
